RHS ’26 – Sheep & Goats
Winning the overall sheep title at this year’s Royal Highland, was the Blackface champion, a ewe from the Ramsay family, Milnmark, Dalry. She had earlier won the Blackface breed championship for the third year in a row, before going one better this year, taking the supreme sheep title.
Inter-breed judge, Jim Pate, Gorebridge, gave the reserve ticket to the North Country Cheviot champion, a home-bred gimmer from Andrew Polson, Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.
Best in the pairs, were the Kerry Hill two, Woodhouse Farm Fendi, from Ellie Owens and AM Burgess’ Dainwood Dewi. Reserve pair title went to the Rouge duo from Aled Groucott and Ali Jackson.
