RHS ’26 – Beef cattle

Winning the overall beef championship at this year’s Royal Highland Show was the Aberdeen-Angus bull, Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140, from Mike and Melanie Alford, Foxhill, Devon.

Judge, Dave Murray, then selected the Simmental winner as reserve overall. That was Backmuir Rambo, a bull from the Simmers family, Backmuir, Keith.

Top team were the Simmentals, with the Beef Shorthorns in reserve. Meanwhile, the Belted Galloways were picked out as best pair, with the Simmentals in reserve.
