Stirling – Charolais – Oct ’25
Charolais bulls sold to a top of 18,000gns three times at Stirling, with the average up by £1046 on the year, for 20 more sold. Overall, 85 bulls sold to average £9023 – a 95% clearance.
Following the sale of bulls, Billy and Moira Milne’s Glenernan herd dispersal saw a phenomenal demand, peaking at 31,000gns for the stock bull, Kinclune Superman, which sold to Jim Innes, Dunscroft, Huntly. Overall, 14 cows and calves averaged £7950, while 16 cows levelled at £6070; six young heifers at £4760; seven bull calves at £4665 and two stock bulls averaged £19,425.
Meanwhile, the dispersal of John Christie’s small Nethercarse herd sold to 10,000gns, for the rising two-year-old heifer Nethercarse Ursula, which went to Michelle Hanson and Darren Irvine, Upper Drakemyres, Forgie.
