
Carlisle – Limousin – May ’25
A top price of 45,000gns and a further 23 bulls at five-figure prices, ensured a whopping average of £10,039 at the May Limousin sale at Carlisle, where 91% of the entry found buyers.
Leading the trade was Ampertaine Upfront, the reserve senior champion from the McKay family, which sold to the Haltcliffe herd.
Meanwhile, 28 females averaged £4785, selling to a top of 9000gns for the Barclays’ Harestone Suzette, which sold with her heifer calf at foot, to the Drakemyres herd.

Haltcliffe Upeach sold for 16,000gns to Messrs Hutton, Threlkeld

Poole Victor reached 16,000gns, selling to Garry Patterson, Keith

Ampertaine Ultravox sold at 15,000gns to Messrs Davies, Llanfynydd

Carmorn Uform made 14,000gns to Messrs Fotheringham, Dunkeld

Bullandcave Umpire also sold at 14,000gns, to the Wighams at Coanwood, Haltwhistle

Making 12,000gns was Springs V8, which sold to the Fotheringhams, Dunkeld

Harestone Suzette and her heifer calf, sold for the top female price of 9000gns
