Highland Cattle For Sale – Feb ’24
The Highland Cattle Society’s Spring show and sale at Oban takes place on Sunday 11th and Monday 12th February, 2024. Judging commences at 12 noon on the Sunday, with the sale kicking off at 10am on the Monday. See the catalogue here.
Below is a preview of some of the excellent cattle heading there…details of each in the captions.
Lot 2 – Harry of Sguir Mor. He was junior male champion at Stars of the Future 2022. His sire Eion Mhor 30th of Mottistone, was male champion at the Royal Highland Show in 2023. Has been used at home on two cows and both scanned in calf. Clear of Allele NT821.
Lot 9 – Murchadh Ruaridh of Luruha. Clear of Allele NT821
Lot 13 – Robertson of Glengoyne. Privately tested for IBR BVD LEPTO and Johnes. Clear of Allele NT821
Lot 15 – MacPhail Mor of Glengoyne. Reserve champion at Drymen show 2023, the only show he was at. privately tested for IBR BVD LEPTO and Johnes Clear of Allele NT821
Lot 68 – Mollaig of Black Glen (pictured in Nov where she was senior female champion and reserve overall senior at Stars of the Future 2023). She was also breed champion at Biggar Show. Sire was the male champion of the Royal Highland Show 2023. Being tested for Allele NT821.
