Stirling – Multi-breed – May ’23
The Simmental, Limousin and Charolais breeds all hit five-figure top prices at United Auctions’ multi-breed sale of bulls and females.
Hitting the top spot was the Simmental champion, Overhill House Neil, from Richard McCulloch, which sold at 16,000gns to AS Leedham.
Averages: 29 Charolais bulls averaged £6003, while 24 Simmentals averaged out at £5828, 35 Limousins levelled at £7182, 21 Aberdeen-Angus sold to average £4530, six Salers levelled out at £4428 and six Shorthorns averaged £3815.
At the final dispersal of the Dunsyre Beef Shorthorn herd, 28 cows with calves at foot sold to average £2906. Meanwhile, 14 Barnaigh maiden heifers averaged out at £2460.
