Carlisle – Blue Texel – Aug ’22

A new breed record was set at the Northern Supreme show and sale of Blue Texel sheep at Carlisle, with Henry Jewitt’s shearling ram, Sunnybank Fergus, selling at 30,000gns.

Overall, five aged rams averaged £556.50; 73 shearling rams levelled at £1686.11; 71 ram lambs averaged £1460.39; 131 gimmers averaged £1236.75 and 25 ewe lambs levelled out at £1373.40.
