The Charolais breed led the trade at United Auctions’ May multi-breed sale at Stirling, with Glenericht Robert selling at 14,000gns to the Dunlops at Elmscleugh. Overall, 24 Charolais bulls sold to average £6191 (+ £576 on the year).
Limousins peaked at 9500gns and averaged £5096 for 30, while 25 Simmentals levelled out at £5632; 29 Aberdeen-Angus averaged £4055; 10 Shorthorns levelled at £4568 and six Salers at £5163.
