Stirling – Charolais – Oct ’21
The Charolais breed achieved an average of £8327 for 59 bulls at the United Auctions’ sale at Stirling – an increase of £1700 on the year.
Trade peaked at 28,000gns for the pre-sale champion, Balthayock Ranger, from Major Walter, with a further 13 bulls hitting the five-figure mark.
At the production sale of Iain and Rhona Millar’s Lochend herd, five in-calf heifers averaged £7812, while 11 maiden heifers averaged £4639. Top price was Lochend Rolo at 12,000gns.
