Charolais – Stirling
At 20,000gns, Alasdair Houston’s Gretnahouse Primate topped a very selective sale of Charolais bulls at Stirling, which met a 60% clearance. Overall, 43 bulls sold to average £6627.
The dispersal sale of the Christie family’s Westcarse herd proved more popular, peaking at 13,000gns, with 21 cows and calves levelling out at £5045, four cows averaging £3307.50, five in-calf heifers averaging £3717, eight maiden heifers levelling at £4869.38 and a stock bull making 6000gns.
