Aberdeen-Angus – Stirling
The Gray family’s Ettrick Batman led the sale of Aberdeen-Angus bulls at Stirling, making the top price of 10,000gns. With a 66% clearance, overall, 40 bulls sold to average £5051.
The sale of females averaged £2572.50 for four, peaking at 4000gns.
The Weeton dispersal drew plenty of interest, selling to 11,000gns for the three-year-old Weeton Laura and her bull calf at foot. The 10 cows and calves averaged £4137, while six cows levelled at £4112.50, seven heifers at £3285, six heifer calves averaged £2940, two bull calves at £1680 and five young bulls levelled out at £2478.
Meanwhile, the Eastfield sale peaked at 5200gns, with 16 cows and calves averaging £3878.44, two cows at £2677.50, two in-calf heifers at £4095 and nine maiden heifers at £2788.33.
