Slealands Herd Reduction
This Friday (12th June) the herd reduction of commercial cows and calves from CB Parsons, Slealands, Longtown, Cumbria, will take place at Carlisle.
The decision has been made to reduce the commercial cow herd to concentrate more on the sheep and pedigree cattle enterprise.
For sale, are 18 of the best cows on the farm, with some tremendous young calves on them. Cows are Bazadaise X, British Blue X or Limousin X with British Blue or Limousin sired calves at foot. The cows range from three to ten years old and most are home-bred with some of the younger cows being daughters of the older cows in the sale.
The herd is in a High Health Scheme and BVD vaccinated, TB 4 with the herd last tested in March this year.
