Oban – Highland Cattle

Highland cattle sold to 8000gns at the society’s autumn show and sale at Oban.

Selling at the top price was Anna of Eilean Mor, a three-year-old heifer from Karen and Michael MacGregor, which sold to J Carr, Marrick Park.

Averages were as follows: 7 three- year-old heifers, £3750; 7 two-year-old heifers, £2625; 17 yearlings, £1173.52; 20 heifer calves, £918.75; 4 bull calves, £603.75; 8 unhaltered, £462.00. Jedderfield dispersal – 5 cows and calves, £1291.50; 12 cows, £540.75.
