Trade peaked at 20,000gns at the Solway and Tyne Texel Club’s show and sale at Carlisle, with 274 ram lambs averaging out at £1206.21, 174 shearling rams levelling at £1029.54 and 112 gimmers averaging £1184.03.

Top price was Willy Davis’ ram lamb, Usk Vale Corker, by Hexel Born To Be Wild, which sold at 20,000gns to Auldhouseburn and Kedzlie Farm.
