Melton Mowbray – Limousin

Pedigree Limousins were in strong demand at the society’s show and sale at Melton Mowbray Market. A total of 153 lots sold to average £1804.71, with just 10 unsold.

Top price was 6000gns, achieved three times, for two bulls, Loosebeare Nibbler and Brockhurst Nosferatu, and the maiden heifer, Frogmore Nevada. She had earlier been placed overall champion by judge, Dougie McBeath of the Springsett herd in Stirling.

Making 5500gns was lot 1, Brockhurst Neuf, which sold to Lowesby Estate
Overall champion and top price female, lot 114, Frogmore Nevada, which sold to W Tomlinson, Springfield House, Treswell
Making 4200gns, lot 80, Brockhurst Magnum, which went to J Lear, Creslow Mannor, Whitchurch
