Stirling – Multi-Breed
Charolais met the best average of the day at United Auctions’ multi-breed sale at Stirling, with 27 levelling out at £5402, achieving an 82% clearance and a top price of 9200gns.
Top price overall, however, came from the Limousin breed, which peaked at 12,000gns, with 44 averaging £4928. They were in high demand too, meeting a 92% clearance.
Meanwhile, 38 Simmental bulls averaged £4253, with 70% selling to a top of 6500gns. This was also the top in the Aberdeen-Angus section – 30 of them averaged £4452, with an 81% clearance.
The Beef Shorthorns sold to 8000gns for 10, with a 91% clearance rate and an average of £4389. And, five Salers averaged £4347 and sold to 5200gns, a clearance of 71%.
