Stirling – Aberdeen-Angus
Aberdeen-Angus bulls sold to 17,000gns at Stirling yesterday, with 37 averaging out at £5063 and a clearance rate of 77%. Females peaked at 8000gns and levelled at £3036 for 17.
The Lucas family’s Cheeklaw herd dispersal attracted plenty of interest and this was reflected in a very strong trade, topping at 20,000gns twice. Overall, 28 cows with calves at foot averaged £6330, while nine in-calf cows levelled at £3418, seven in-calf heifers averaged £4935 and 17 maiden heifers levelled out at £4459. The three bulls averaged £4025.
