Scottish Texel Club Jubilee Show – Biggar

Here are the pictures of the prizewinners at the Scottish Texel Breeders’ Club inaugural Jubilee Points Trophy show, held at a wet but busy Biggar Show, on Saturday, with just short of 200 entries.

Judge, David Houghton, picked as his champion, a two-crop ewe from Robert and Joyce Laird, and daughters Amy and Kim, Cambwell, Biggar, which went onto win the sheep inter-breed, and show supreme titles. A Strathbogie Usher daughter, she was reserve breed champion at the Royal Highland, last month.

Reserve overall was a gimmer from the Clark brothers, Alan, Andrew and David, Garngour, Lesmahagow. A first prize winner at the Great Yorkshire both this year and last year, she is by the home-bred Teiglum Wiseguy.
