Exeter – Dorset May Fair

The Dorset Sheep May Fair held at Exeter Sale Centre this week saw a steady trade and increased averages. The 122 rams sold levelling at £757.56, up £97.52 on the year.

Top price of the day was 2500gns, paid for David Lewis’ Pembroke Zest Is Best. He travels home to Northern Ireland with J Robson, Doagh, Ballyclare.

Burgos Xtravagent made 2400gns to G Henderson, Bushmills, County Antrim

First in the ring, Wilsey X93 sold for 2000gns to L Weir, Gracehill, Ballymena

Pre-sale champion Ballytaggart X Style made 1500gns, selling to H Tickler, Kelby Lodge, Grantham, Lincs

Richhill Zebedee, the reserve champion went on to make 1500gns to AP Brookin, Rhippinllwyd, Cwmcou, Ceredigion

Female champion, Pembroke Zara sold for 600gns to Hodgson Farms, Wasdale Head, Seascape, Cumbria
