The Spring show and sale of Simmentals at Carlisle, incorporating the Leading Ladies show and sale, peaked at 5600gns.
Making the top money was the bull Corskie Glacier while the females topped at 3600gns for Williams Snowqueen 8th.
Averages: 22 bulls, £3508. Leading Ladies – Four served heifers, £2651; six maiden heifers, £2616. Unhaltered females – 12 cows and heifers served and/or suckling and maiden heifers, £1894. Caistor herd reduction sale – 18 cows & heifers, £1809; Two senior bulls, £2258.
