Allanfauld Limousin sale
Trade peaked at 10,000gns at the MacGregor family’s Allanfauld Limousin herd sale, at Carlisle. Making that money was the 15-month-old heifer, Allanfauld Latino, a Milgate Fame daughter which was purchased as an embryo from the Harestone herd. She sold to Hughes Bros, Stockton on Tees.
Overall, 21 cows and heifers served and/or suckling averaged out at £3825, while 15 served and maiden heifers levelled at £3087.
The Breconside sale, held the same day, sold to a top of 5000gns for the stock bull, Foxhillfarm Incredibull, by Guards Boomer. He went to William Steel, North Cumberhead, Lesmahagow. In all, 24 cows and heifers served and/or suckling averaged £19990.63, while four in-calf heifers averaged £1968.75 and 16 yearling heifers levelled at £1271.81.
