
All Ireland Texel Championship
At this years Texel Growvite All Ireland Championships, once again held at Bellurgan Park, Dundalk, Co Louth, at the weekend, Alastair Gault sorted through the 200 strong entry to pick out a Knock Ursus-sired gimmer as his champion.
This was Gerard Niland’s PNE15076, a gimmer out of a ewe by Wayside Topgun. The reserve overall was also sired by Knock Urus, going to Anthony Donnell’s senior ewe lamb DII16003.
Male Champion went to the Shearling ram, McHugh Texels’ Hillcrest Wagner YZI15003, a Tophill Union Jack son, with reserve going to the junior ram winner OKI16080 from A & P Keeffe.
