An Aberdeen-Angus bull led the trade at United Auctions’ Multi-breed sale at Stirling. Blelack Jury Eric, from the Massie family, sold at 10,000gns to R Gardiner, Newton Smiddy, Lynne of Skene, Aberdeen.
Overall, 23 Angus bulls averaged £4638 (+£705), with a 96% clearance. Limousins averaged £4356 for 43, an increase of £748 on the year, with a 90% clearance. Simmentals levelled at £4192 for 33 (-£4 with a 67% clearance). A total of 25 Charolais averaged £4486 (-£639), with a 53% clearance. Shorthorns averaged out at £2846 for 11 bulls (+£230), with an 85% clearance. Highland bulls levelled at £1600 for six and Salers averaged £4935 for five.
