Trade topped at 6,500gns at the English Premier show and sale of pedigree cattle at Newark Livestock Market at the weekend.
Fetching this price was Michael Read’s Lincoln Red bull, Hemingby Jaguar. The breed averaged £2783.75 for the 8 bulls sold and £1392.16 for 47 females.
The 5 Simmental bulls sold averaged £3822, with the 29 females sold averaging £1311.78. Five Aberdeen-Angus bulls levelled out at £2486 with 8 females averring out at £1135.31. A Salers bull sold at £3000, with 2 females averaging £2047.50.
