Stars Of The Future
Another successful Stars of the Future event took place at Stirling on Saturday, with a tremendous turn-out of top quality cattle on show.
In the inter-breed contests – judged by Orkney’s Liam Muir – continental senior champion went to the Limousin, Allanfauld Jolene, with the Stronachs’ Simmental, Islavale Fendt lifting the reserve. Overall continental junior champion was the Limousin, Foxhillfarm Logan, from the Alfords. Picking up the reserve junior continental title was the British Blue, Solwayview Kelvin from Kevin Watret.
Meanwhile, the top native interbreed senior was Brailes Livestock’s Aberdeen-Angus bull, Brailes Exterminator P601, with W and P Eccles’ Hereford, Rockness Maelstrom in reserve. The junior native title went to Marsdens Farms, with the Aberdeen-Angus bull Liley Kinannie, while reserve was Jack Ramsey’s Beef Shorthorn bull, Millerston Jester.
Taking the Joe Watson pairs championship (Picture featured above) was Allan Campbell, with the Limousin duo, Strawfrank Lucy and Strawfrank Leroy.
