Galloway bulls sold to a top of 12,500gns at Wallets Marts’ sale at Castle Douglas. Making that money was Windsor of Romesbeoch, a Murphy of Romesbeoch son from Jim and Selina Ross, which sold to German buyers Messrs Kahl and Schlichteile, Rodaer Str, Burgwald, Ernsthausen.
Second top, at 9200gns was Troloss Impeccable, a Blackcraig Rasputin son which sold to R McClymont, Kirkstead, Yarrow, and D and I Cornthwaite, Balgray Hill, Lockerbie.
Overall, 14 bulls sold to average £3735 (+£921), while 12 haltered heifers levelled out at £2200.62 (+£433), and 10 unhaltered heifers averaged £1496.25 (+£105).
