Trade peaked at 38,000gns at the Solway and Tyne Texel Club sale at Carlisle, with 272 ram lambs averaging out at £1122. A total of 180 shearling rams levelled at £869, while 66 gimmers averaged £589, and 21 ewe lambs sold to average £375.

Sale topper, the unshown Castlecairn Vavavoom, from Bruce Renwick, which made 38,000gns to Garngour/Teiglum, Glenside and Grougfoot, with Castlecairn retaining a quarter share.
