Lurg and Auldhouseburn females for sale at Lanark
The annual show and sale of top quality Blackface females will be held on Saturday 1st March at Lanark Agricultural Centre. There are 71 in-lamb females entered and the show will commence at 11am, with Iain Finlay from Blackcraig taking centre stage in the judging ring. We will be attending the sale on behalf of the Blackface Sheep Breeders’ Association, so we will keep you up to date with the highlights after the sale.

From left to right on the photograph above: ‘Ewesain’ by Balliemeanoch Stag, she was Fintry Show champion in 2012 and is in lamb, carrying twins to £50,000 Pole. Both the middle and far right ewes are by Highland Storm, the middle one carrying twins to £50,000 Pole and the one on the right carrying twins to £15,000 Connachan, she is also a daughter of the 3500gns ewe sold previously.
Auldhouseburn have three gimmers entered for Lanark. From left in above photograph, two £65,000 Auldhouseburn gimmers, carrying singles to the £50,000 Crossflat and on the right a £55,000 Connachan daughter, also in-lamb to £50,000 Crossflat, this time with twins
