Carlisle – Charolais – May ’25

A 98% clearance and a new breed centre record of 55,000gns made for a successful sale of Charolais at Carlisle, where 30 bulls sold to average £11,581.50 and 12 females levelled out at £6483.75. In all, 14 bulls and one female hit the five-figure mark.

Sale topper, the reserve champion, Goldies Unbeatable, which sold at 55,000gns to Harestone

Thrunton Uplander sold at 18,000gns to Q Limond, Barskelly, Maybole

Caylers Vinnie also made 18,000gns, to the Solwayfirth, Glenericht and Firhills herds

The champion, Newhouse Unionjack, sold at 15,000gns to WN Lindsay, Carnleith, Kirriemuir

Goldies Unsunghero sold at 14,000gns, to G and G Law, Wynd Farm, Galston

Newhouse Ureka made 13,000gns to the Hollidays at Cleamire, Wigton

Goldies Upstanding sold for 13,000gns to JC Hobday and Son, Todshawhaugh, Hawick

Top price female, Grinshill Valentina, sold at 14,000gns to RM Dunlop, Middle Part, Dalry
