Aberdeen-Angus bulls met an 80% clearance at Stirling, with 61 selling to average £5737 (+£674 on the year). Trade peaked at 22,000gns for Linton Gilbertines Powerhouse T169, which went to Holystone Farms, Morpeth.
Females also peaked at 22,000gns for Moncur Laura which, a heifer which was part of the Taylor family’s Moncur dispersal. She sold to the Idvies herd. Overall, 24 cows with calves at foot levelled at £3194, with three heifer calves averaging £1908 and 12 in-calf heifers averaging out at £4244. There was also a maiden heifer at 6000gns.
At the Schivas dispersal, top price was 18,000gns, for the heifer Schivas Morning Princess S430, which was knocked down to Messrs Doyle, Cookstown, Northern Ireland. A total of 45 cows with calves at foot averaged £3824, with 17 heifers with calves at foot levelling at £3743, seven in-calf heifers averaging £5760 and 20 maiden heifers levelled out at £1964.
