In the pink!

This rather colourful bunch of Blackie tup hoggs were spotted today in a field neighbouring the famous Gleneagles Golf Course, venue of this year’s Ryder Cup, in September.

Belonging to Allan and Jimmy Wright, who run St Mungo’s Farm, they say that by colouring their tups, they can spot them up to a mile away, and keep an eye on what they’re up to, without having to walk too far. With 5000 ewes and 60 cows, on 5500 acres of land, they are glad of any time saving initiatives, and this is one that has worked well for them for several years.
